I had the pleasure to test the new women’s Harbor Hoodie Pattern* from Terra’s Treasures*. I have tested a few of Terra’s other patterns and they are always fantastic! They are easy to follow and always turn out such a nice and professional-looking finished product! I was so excited that I was chosen to test this time because it is getting SO COLD here in Utah! (See the snow on the ground?) Last fall/winter I was pregnant with JJ, and the winter before that I was smaller than I am now, so I don’t really have a lot of warm clothes that currently fit. So this test was just perfect!
The Harbor Hoodie is a wrap-style jacket that has a hood or collar option, inseam pockets, a side-tie, and different lining options. I did the collar option and have plans for a hooded option very soon! I chose to line the entire jacket – front, back, and sleeves. You can leave the sleeves unlined if you don’t need that added warmth! My main fabric is a solid black sweatshirt fleece, and the lining is a solid aqua microfleece, both from Joann’s. My hoodie came out heavy and warm without being overly bulky! After I had about 90% of the fabric cut, I realized the sweatshirt fleece actually has less stretch than what is recommended in the pattern. Lucky for me, it worked out anyways!
I feel like the fit and style of this jacket are pretty universally flattering. The side-tie also makes it adjustable and pretty forgiving if you are fluctuating between sizes. The seaming on the front and back also make this a very flattering fit for women. The pattern comes in sizes XX-Small through 3x and literally looked amazing on every single pattern tester! Join the Terra’s Treasures Patterns Facebook group to see other amazing tester photos! Some of my favorite tester versions had really fun flannel/plaid linings. I think I may have to try that next!
Make sure you head over to Terra’s Treasures and grab the Women’s Harbor Hoodie* pattern while it’s on sale for only $7.50! Sale ends Sunday 12/6/15.
