Pattern Test: M4M Girl’s & Mama Mya

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for supporting my blog!

I will preface this post by saying that last week was the busiest week of my life for pattern testing. I ended up having several tests that were all due within a couple days of each other. So of course, I came down with the worst sinus infection in history. Well, that’s probably a slight exaggeration. I kept resting, drinking fluids, and waiting to feel better and it didn’t happen. I went to the doctor on Tuesday with a laundry list of symptoms, but I wasn’t given an antibiotic until Friday afternoon. I was completely useless the entire week, and ended up sooo behind on all of my sewing. 🙁 Shout out to my hubby, mom, and mother-in-law who kept our household running all week. Not even 24 hours after starting the antibiotic, I felt 6,000 times better. Which makes me upset that I didn’t get the antibiotic on Tuesday. Oh well. I spent part of Saturday, all day Sunday, and all day Monday getting caught up on all of my tests! So be prepared for many pattern test posts.

By the time I was all caught up and ready to photograph 6 different outfits, it was dark and snowy outside! So we dragged the kids to my hubby’s work at 8:00 PM and took pictures in the library there. Let’s just say that indoor photos are not my strong suit!

Without further adieu, today’s post is a two-for-one!

Pattern Test: M4M Mya Mama & Girls

Made for Mermaids is one of my favorite PDF Pattern designers. Her designs are always on-trend, fit well, and her instructions are always amazing! This time she went above and beyond and is releasing a matching Mama & Girl’s pattern set – The Mya Top, Tunic, and Dress! And there are SO. MANY. OPTIONS. Lucky for me, Maci is still at the age where it’s super cool to have a matching shirt with her mom! I’m going to enjoy that while I can 🙂

First off, I’ll go over the Girl’s Mya with you! The options for the Girl’s Mya are:

Sizes 1/2(9-12m)-Girls 14

Short, 3/4, or Long Sleeve

Top, Curved Tunic, or Dress length

Optional hem ruffle for sleeves or bottom hem

Optional Flutter for the sleeve

Regular neck, Cowl Neck, or Neck Ruffle

They all feature a slight A-line silhouette and they are just darling on the littles! And to top it off, Megan is also including a free knit headband pattern with purchase of the girls or mama pattern! (use code MYASALE).

The green version is a 3/4 sleeve, dress length in a Rayon/Spandex Blend from Joanns. The floral is a long-sleeve, curved hem tunic length with a cowl in this gorgeous floral Brushed Poly Cotton Rayon Blend from Girl Charlee.

Maci fell asleep in the car on the way to take pictures. She looks so out of it in most of the shots I got! 🙁

Moving on to the Mama version! I LOVE THIS PATTERN. The fit is amazing, very flattering and forgiving, and it’s also loaded with options. I will literally be wearing a Mama Mya all year long! Megan really outdid herself with this one!

The options for Mama Mya are:

Sized for bust measurements 30″-51″

Short, 3/4, or long sleeve

Regular neck or Cowl Neck

Top, Curved Tunic, or Dress length

My Purple version is a short-sleeved, top length with regular neckline, also done in a Rayon Spandex blend from Joanns. My floral version is a long-sleeved, curved hem tunic lenth with a cowl-neck in the same gorgeous floral Brushed Poly Cotton Rayon Blend from Girl Charlee as Maci’s!

  1. Seriously you girls are too cute!!! I just love that Mya top on you! It’s so flattering and looks super comfy 🙂 I’m glad you are finally feeling better! Love the way you used that Girl Charlee floral. I have four yards of it and now I think Maddie and I need a some matching tops! 🙂

    1. Thanks so much Kim! It is super comfy, especially in a rayon blend (so soft!). I definitely agree, you & Maddie need some mama & me tops! Maybe I’m a nerd, but I love how excited Maci was to match me! She also loves the cowl. “I love the built in scarf, mama!” 🙂
