Hello again! 😉 This is sort of a little supplement to my last post about the new Cassie Pattern! I just had too many pictures so I didn’t want to overload them all in one post.
The new Cassie pattern is designed to be part of the knit mix-and-mash collection from Made for Mermaids! That means that the bodice/skirt are interchangeable with the Brooklyn and Riley patterns. It’s no secret that I absolutely LOVE the Brooklyn/Riley mash, and I’m so excited to have another pattern to throw in the mix!
I sewed up the Brooklyn bodice with mid-length sleeves, and then “mashed” it with the half circle, high-low dress length skirt from Cassie! I had the opportunity to sew up this gorgeous fabric from Vintage Lace Prints, and it was just right for this dress. We are mouse lovers in this house, and Maci loves all things girly, so this floral/gingham/mouse fabric is just perfect!
The beauty of circle skirts and half circle skirts, is that there is no gathering involved! Which means they sew up super quickly, which is great for this busy mama 🙂
This fabric from Vintage Lace Prints is a brushed poly/spandex and it is SO SOFT! So soft, that my husband requested a matching dress in the same fabric 😉 The quality from Vintage Lace is always amazing, the fabric is a nice weight and such a dream to work with! The designs are vibrant and beautiful, too! This fabric is on pre-order right now through February 2. Make sure to hop over to their website or Facebook group and check them out. You won’t be disappointed!
Can you tell how much Maci loved this fabric and dress?! I love the bodice from Brooklyn because it’s lined, so that means no neckband! I love the clean look of the lined bodice.
Maci pulled all these poses and faces out WHILE it was snowing! Luckily it was only lightly snowing, but still. It was cold and she was rocking it!
